Sopot's branch of the National Gallery is housed in a rather splendid pre-war edifice that resembles a sort of elegantly stretched wedding cake. Inside there are plenty of treats for art-lovers to savour. Worth rooting out are Polish painters such as Jacek Malczewskii, Piotr Michalowski and Jerzy Nowosielski, striking talents who remain little known in the West.
