Pi Kawa

There's nothing Poles like more than whiling away a few hours in a cosy cafe. This candle-filled hideaway has certainly proved a runaway hit with the locals, so much so that the owners have already opened up a second outlet in nearby Gdynia. Pi Kawa is right in the heart of Old Gdansk near St. Mary's Cathedral and it's a trusty option for a tasty cuppa and a quick snack. Worth trying is the 'szarlotka', a traditional Polish apple pie. Popular with all age-groups Pi Kawa is worth rooting out. This is a very charming place.

"Without a doubt, the best coffee shop in the Old Town. Warm, cozy and friendly. I live in Gdansk and go there at least once a week. When you visit, don't miss it. It's that good."

"One of the best place for having a coffee in Gdansk. Great coffee and lot of choice. You just need to be lucky for finding a place there because it's always full."
