Goldwasser Restaurant email

The prize-winning Goldwasser restaurant is well worth investigating, not least in the summer months when there's a gracious ivy-clad terrace where you can sit and watch the world go by. The restaurant has a classic flavour and there is a lot of attention to detail. The menu is wide-ranging with everything from traditional Polish pierogi to treats from nearby sea. Round it all off with a drop of Goldwasser, Gdansk's famed liqueur that's served with genuine gold flakes.

I ate here in May last year and it was excelent; marvellous surrounding, pleasant staff and the food was great. Would definitely visit again.

Excellent Food/Restaurant just a little bit expensive (for polish prices).

Wie Gdansk/Danzig bezoekt, moet ongetwijfeld even langs GOLDWASSER.

Both the service and the food here were excellent, and the latter much less than I had expected to pay. A very pleasant if unusual environment. There are plenty of nooks and crannies yet an al fresco feel, probably owing to the cobblestone floor.

Ignore the reviews below. I was there March 7th 09 and I have to say it was great. Friendly waiter who spoke excellent English. The food was lovely and not over priced at all. An interesting and well worth a visit.

Nice restaurant but I found it all a bit cramped. I like to sprawl out after a big dinner and relax. Considering it's reputation as one of the more upmarket restaurants in Gdansk I have to say that I am in agreement with one of the other comments in that I found the food OK but a bit bland.

Beautiful surroundings!
BOOOring food! The food was visually ok but when the taste is forgotten before you step out the front door after a meal I regard this as a sign that the kitchen staff are not enjoying their work....

This is a great restaurant for people-watching! Quite pricey, but the waitresses are pretty, and in the summer, so are lots of people walking past on the quay. (By the way the vodka with gold leaves in it - well, it just tastes like normal vodka but costs more!)

Ive never been in a restraunt with such a historic feel. The Goldwasser drink has a rich history and this restraunt reflects that heratige. Good food, service and all the rest, but the gold flakes and warm feeling provided by their namesake are what will make you happy.
