Napoli email

Napoli website

Open from 11:00 AM until 'the last guest leaves,' Napoli specializes in, what else, Italian food. With a menu including over 30 types of pizza (!), a cornucopia of pasta dishes as well as some tempting frutti di mare and grill-entrees, you're sure to find something your taste buds will enjoy. A nice selection of wines (and spirits, naturally) will help you wash down this plethora of palate-teasers. In the summertime, you can enjoy all the eye-candy Gdansk has to offer from the outdoor cafe. If you're the indoor type, take time staking out a spot between Napoli's three levels. We recommend the lowest one - the 14th century walls create a great atmoshpere. Of course the place is air-conditioned and plastic is accepted.

Napoli

The food and service was very nice however I disagree with the comment open untill last guests leave as me and my friend kumar ordered a drink and the girl gave us half pints instead of full as we would have to leave this was at 11.30 pm

This really wasnt what we expected. Poor service and very average food... none of which arrived at the table at the same time. and the tiniest glass of red wine I ever did see.

Despite the name and the fake italian certificate shown on the walls, this pizzeria has nothing to do with Italy or Napoli.

Prices are ok, the base of the pizza is ok too, but tomato and cheese are not good at all. Tthey use a mixture of 3 or 4 different cheeses that are too strong to be used on a basic pizza (You will NEVER find a margherita with "cheese" that is not mozzarella in italy).
Anyway considering it's not italian pizza it's not so bad.

If you have money to spend or if you really can't wait for a good pizza somewhere else this may be an option, but far away from having a proper pizza.

E lo scrive uno che in patria se ne pappa almeno quattro al mese ;-)

Positive things: you may split 1 pizza in 2 people and you can have a discount if you order it at home.

Pomimo tylu milych komentarzy,ja jestem strasznie zawiedziona. W zeszlym roku bylismy z mezem w napoli podczas naszego urlopu.

Well.. the pizza was ok... but the service was horrible. When we came to the restaurant, we asked if we could dine outside. At the point all the tables outside were occupied so the waitress said that we can come inside to order and wait until an outside table gets free for us.
Sadly the waitress never kept her promise. Many tables got unoccupied for a moment but the waitresses didn't want to give those for us but just gave them to newer customers. We ate the pizzas inside where it was like 30 C hot.

When we left we said to the waitress that her behaviour was not acceptable. She told us that the "other waitresses said she should't give us a table outside" - presumably because we already had ordered and that way they wouldn't have to care for us so much anymore. No apologies or anything.

This was the only time we got bad service in Gdansk so I suggest you to avoid this place.

The pizza was excellent and pleasantly inexpensive (certainly compared to the equivalent back home!). Good service and a very pleasant location.

The pizza was great(!!), but the dessert was not quite what we had expected.. The tiramisu had orange in it, and refering to us, tiramisu should not contain orange...

The risotto was just okay, but the pizza was very good. No smoking -- this alone is a reason to eat here. Good service.
