UEFA has picked Gdansk and three other cities in Poland as primary sites for the Euro 2012 football tournament.

Poznan, Wroclaw also received the good news. Cracow and Chorzow will remain reserve cities, but are unlikely to host matches.

UEFA administrators gave good marks to Poland's progress to prepare for the tournament, but urged Ukraine to work harder.

Four cities were initially planned for each country, but has been pared to four in Poland and two for Ukraine, Kiev and one to be named later if standards are met.
