Recently, 15 Polish Youths shouting anti-Russian slogans attacked and beat upon three Russian teens in a Warsaw park. The three Youths were the children of Russian Diplomats working in Warsaw and the incedent has sparked responses from the highest levels of the Polish and Russian Governments.
While it seems to be a case of Hooliganism and criminality, rather than a more serious hate-crime, the Russian Foreign Ministry has accused Polish Politicians of inciting anti-russian sentiment...A bold declaration.
Since the attacks, the Polish politicians have promised a thourough hunt for the attackers and asked forgiveness from the injured Russian children, two of which lost teeth in the beating. The Polish Ambassador to Moscow has called the attack one of Skinheads against Children, rather than Poles against Russians. |
