A report on Polish-Allied cooperation during the second world war has just been made availible for purchase. The report, preceded by forewords by the British Prime Minister Tony Blair and the Polish Prime Minister Marek Belka, presents, among others, the structure and operations of the intelligence of the Polish high command, Polish-British intelligence co-operation, operations of field stations of Polish intelligence, the intelligence activities of the Polish Home Army and finally the most important achievements of Polish intelligence (e.g. deciphering of the German encoding system Enigma)
In their summaries the authors of the report conclude that the contribution of the Polish intelligence to the Allies' victory was invaluable. According to the report, the Anglo-Polish intelligence co-operation was not only successful but also unique among the Allies, going beyond any other collaborative operations with other countries. It is hoped that through the research undertaken and now published as the Report of the Anglo-Polish Historical Committee for the first time, new light will be shed on the contribution of the Polish nation to Allied victory.
