The St. Dominic's Fair has been brought to a successful conclusion here in Gdansk. The extended fair, which lasted three weeks this year, was wrapped up with fireworks and a major concert from the Opera House on Granary Island. The vending stalls are still being dismantled and a massive cleanup operation is underway.

From Shakespeare to smooth jazz and from carnival rides to trips into the past, the fair really encompased the entire Old Town. Not a street was spared from music, merchandise, and in the night, rowdy festival goers. Walking the streets, one could here a variety of languages and it was clear that the passersby came from all corners of the globe and not just the merchants.

Highlights of the fair included Bread Day and Amber day, where both magnificent substances were trumpeted for the delight they bring to life here in Gdansk! If you didn't get a chance to check the festivities out this year, don't worry, as the fair will be back next year in all its glory.
