The day of Jarre is finally here! Although its only noon, the streets are already flooded with cars and eager fans, ready for an amazing night of music and solidarity. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Solidarity movement here in Gdansk, French artist Jean Michel Jarre is putting on a show entitled the "Space of Freedom" in the Gdansk Shipyards where it all began.
Jarre has promised that this show will be extrodinary and the artist, who is known for creating an experience beyond what you would expect, has promised that this will be among the best concerts he's ever done. Along with the normal excitement of fireworks, lasers, and other fan-friendly actions, Jarre will employ the use of two working shipyard cranes! Special trains have been scrambled from all over Poland to help accomodate the expected crowd of 100,000 people who are coming from all over Europe!
Jarre has been in Poland for nearly a month, meeting with Lech Walesa and other Polish Leaders, in an effort to bring more international attention to the 25th anniversary of Solidarity. |
