Back in Belarus!
Poland's ambassador in Belarus, Tadeusz Pawlak, returned to his mission in Minsk on Tuesday. He had been recalled to Warsaw in late July in connection with conflicts between the Belarussian government and the Union of Poles in Belarus.
Checko said Pawlak's return to Minsk was a reaction to the Belarussian opposition's naming of a presidential candidate for next year's presidential ballot and 'a changed international situation.'
Tensions are still running high, both in Belarus and further east, as Russian President Vladimir Putin has recently condemned Western intervention in the former Soviet Socialist Republics.
