If you're on a backpacking adventure through northern Europe this Summer, Gdansk has plenty to recommend it. There's a panoply of festivals, including an international festival of street theatre, the vibrant, historic Dominican Fair, a string of music festivals and much more besides. This summer outlet of the excellent Dizzy Daisy group will be open during July and August of this year, giving you a reliable base from which to explore the city. The usual high standards can be expected from the Daisy team, who also have a permanent hostel in Cracow.
