Okay, we'll be the first to admit that the weather in Trojmiasto can be more than a bit unpredictable. With the area neatly set out on the Baltic coast, weather patterns change quickly so it's best to be prepared. Use our five-day forecast to your best advantage in outfoxing the elements before you set-off.

There is no doubt that Baltic winters are extremely chilly with temperatures at an average of zero degrees Celsius in the winter months, but quite regularly dipping to -20 degrees. And the wind coming in off the Gulf is indeed a beach, so dress accordingly. We don't need to tell you that accessories like winter hats and gloves, scarves and even leggings are a must. In summer, you'll find the temperatures around +20 degrees Celsius, climbing up to +30 regularly even between inexplicable hourly showers. Rest assured that anytime the sun is out you can expect the beach to be packed. Sunscreen is a no-brainer if you plan to spend a day on the beach, but so is a poncho.

Generally speaking, the best months to visit Gdansk, Sopot and Gdynia vary depending on what you're looking for. If it's a coastline packed with sunbathing beauties, a lively club scene and a hopping cultural calendar packed with festivals and ubiquitous concerts, then there's no reason to shy away from the peak tourist season from the beginning of June to the end of August. If tourists make you cringe and you prefer to be able to actually find enough space on the beach to put a towel down, aim for May and September when the rains of June haven't yet hit in force, the streets are still pretty much your own and the sun is still out, (but you have to be a bit crazy to go for a swim).
